Wentworth Rd. Home Restoration

Walpole, New Hampshire

This magnificent turn-of-the century neo-classical mansion sits quietly on 15 acres just above the quaint village of Walpole, New Hampshire.

Purchased in 2001 by the present owners, the house was saved from decay and ruin.  A two-year "top to bottom" total restoration starting with raising the whole house to repair a failing foundation.  Interior restoration projects were all true to the original blueprints found in the house.  Reproductions of all the original moldings that had never been finished were put into place.  The third floor was re-opened to the home’s original glory.  A new custom kitchen was added as well. All of this hard work and attention to detail resulted in 16 perfectly appointed rooms, wide hallways, open stairways, 10 fireplaces, 9 bedrooms, 7 baths and a grand foyer overlooking acres of open fields with views of the distant mountains.  Graceful Corinthian columns and original Tiffany and Co. lamps adorn the wide wrap-around porches.  A four-stall barn with heated tack room and bath was also added to make a home for the alpacas.
